Charley is graduating on May 23rd! Congratulations Charley!

Tellico Plains, TN. It was the last day of school for the preacher’s son, and Halleluia Holler Matilda Farnsworth was on the scene as one Charley Palmer bounced up the ramp and into the house announcing “School’s Out!” and he didn’t mean just for the summer, no, he meant forever. Authorities at the local high school confirmed that the boy who has Downs Syndrome attended the special needs program during his senior year was now being returned to the preacher and his wife, for good.
The preacher said “Oh Lord, where have the years gone?” and his wife put her face into the pillow on the living room couch and whined “I feel a meltdown coming on.”
But the story does not end there. In an exclusive interview the preacher’s wife told Farnsworth, “I was fully justified in visiting the Tellico Grains Bakery, you know, the one right in the heart of Tellico Plains? The one that has the delectable treats made by the one and only Anissa? The one that has the aroma that follows me all the way up the 12 mile drive to Coker Creek? Yep, that’s the one.” She then added, “I don’t know how it happened exactly, one minute I was on my way to work, and the next minute I was standing right in front of the cinnamon rolls and cherry turnovers at the bakery. Why, I must have lost control of my car because it just drove itself over here,” and then added, “It’s not my fault if I was in serious need of comfort food.” Moments later the normally pleasant rotund little preacher’s wife emerged from the bakery with the coveted white bag in one hand and a coffee in the other, grinning from ear to ear and stating, “I swore them to secrecy. They are NOT to tell my husband. After all, we ARE on a diet, for heaven’s sake.”
And now in other news…I'm in the mood for a some devil's food.
